If you want to delete your data from Connekto, follow one of the three methods below. We will delete all your WhatsApp messages, contacts, and account data within 30 days and confirm via email.

How to Request Data Deletion

You may request the deletion of all personal data associated with your Connekto account using any of the following three methods:

Delete via Connekto Settings

Go to Connekto → Settings → Disconnect WhatsApp.
On the account settings page, click "Delete My Account & Data". You will be asked to confirm your identity before deletion proceeds.

Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
Include your Business ID and WABA ID (WhatsApp Business Account ID). We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

Facebook Business Settings (Meta-initiated)

You can also request deletion via your Facebook Business Settings → Data Deletion request page. Meta will forward this request to Connekto and we will process it within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

Upon a confirmed deletion request, we permanently delete:

All WhatsApp messages and media stored in your Connekto inbox
All customer contact records and conversation history
Your WhatsApp Business Account connection credentials (WABA ID, Phone Number ID, access tokens)
All automation rules, templates, and campaign data linked to your account
Your Connekto user profile, team members, and organisation data
All analytics data and reports associated with your account

What Is Retained After Deletion

Certain records are retained only where required by Indian law or for legitimate business purposes. These records are isolated and not used for any operational purpose.

Billing records: Transaction and invoice history is retained for 7 years as required under the Indian Goods and Services Tax Act and the Companies Act
Abuse logs: If your account was flagged for policy violations, minimal records may be retained for up to 3 years for legal and security purposes

Deletion Timeline

Acknowledgement: Within 2 business days of receiving your request
Active data deletion: Within 7 days of acknowledgement
Backup purge: Within 30 days (encrypted backups are rotated and overwritten)
Email confirmation: Sent once deletion is complete
